Maple Mug —16 oz

A round-bellied stoneware mug in a glossy, deep amber-brown, the color of dark maple syrup. The glaze deepens to near black where it layers and thins to a warm red-brown where it runs, ending in a sloping line over the bare speckled clay.

This handmade ceramic mug holds about 16 oz and stands roughly 3.5" tall, a wide, generous mug for a big cup of coffee. The handle has a smooth glazed grip, and the mug is sturdy enough for daily use. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

Wheel-thrown in my McKean County, PA studio using brown speckled stoneware. Each mug shows unique variation in the glaze pattern, especially where the browns layer over each other and meet the raw clay.
