Ash Mug —14 oz

A round-bellied stoneware mug glazed in soft white with streaks of charcoal and gray-blue running down through it, like ash bark after rain. The glaze ends in an uneven, sloping line, leaving the lower third of the mug as bare speckled clay.

This handmade ceramic mug holds about 14 oz and stands roughly 3.75" tall. The handle has a smooth glazed grip, and the mug is sturdy enough for daily use. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

Wheel-thrown in my McKean County, PA studio using brown speckled stoneware. Each mug shows unique variation in the glaze pattern, especially where the dark streaks melt through the white and the glaze meets the raw clay.
